Aerosafari

Aerosafari in the Colombian plains of Casanare.

The department of Casanare is in the northwestern part of the Orinoquia, its economy is based on double-purpose livestock, consolidating itself as the country’s second largest herd. Other activities are the agro-industry with crops of rice, palm, pineapple, coffee among others, the exploitation of hydrocarbons and tourism.

The contrasts between mountain and plain offer the visitor attractive places to see, landscapes of singular beauty, imposing mountains, immense savannahs, large and extensive rivers that give life to exotic fauna and flora.

Altagracia in Rain Season

This destination does not have access by land in the rainy season (May to November), therefore, the use of Cesna 206 light aircraft (capacity: 5 passengers) is required. Altagracia is one of our best nature destinations, located in the municipality of Trinidad, 240 km from Yopal, Casanare. It is made up of 14 Natural Reserves of Civil Society (RNSC): Buenaventura, El Lagunazo, San Cristóbal, San Andrés, Miralindo, Santa Clara, Santa Marta, Quinto Patio, El Algarrobo, Matapalo, Betania, El Campín, El Boral and Palmeras. All of them make up a beautiful community project that seeks the protection of its territory and its culture.

This area is characterized by having a representative ecosystem composed of a large lagoon of more than 500 hectares, surrounded by moriche palms (Mauritia flexuosa), a site that concentrates a high biodiversity of species typical of the region. Besides being one of the best places to carry out the Safari plan, it is an excellent location for bird watching and photography.
